Dirge of Time

One may think of this as a joke,
Always trying to bring the choke,
To the gift that will be taken,
Once we get to awaken,

Don’t agonize about the past,
You know it won’t last,
Dream as if you live forever,
Live as if you die today,

Don’t settle for the typical things,
You’ll bathe in ignorance,
Open your wings,
Take your chance,

This gift can bring pain,
It won’t stay in vain,
Fight to stay alive,
Fight to just revive,

Stereotype it as evil’s heart,
Which will always try to bark,
Don’t listen to the words,
Of its everyday followers,
Don’t settle for the typical things,
You’ll bathe in ignorance,
Open your wings,
Take your chance,


Don’t look at your surroundings,
They won’t be understanding,
Always underestimating,
The ever so growing,

Open your wings,
Take your chance.
